I find myself travelling more and more since about three years ago. Frankly, I am sick of all the false sense of security at the airport. Does it really make anyone safer because it’s an “Orange” day?. Did the man at the security checkpoint really think I had a bomb in my baby stroller? Did you know that workers on the tarmac don’t even go through a metal detector when they come into work? Well, that is what I heard from a pilot who was sitting next to me on my way back from Baltimore. Believe it if you want.
And it goes beyond the airport. Add children and luggage and shuttle buses. Add no cars at the rental store even though you reserved one. Add a torn suitcase. Add the forgotten toothbrush and the hair in the bed at the hotel. There are simply a lot of factors when travelling that can really be a drag.
Don’t get me wrong, I am so thankful for the ability to get across the country or across the world in a matter of hours. It’s just that sometimes it can get a little irritating. As a result, I have found that preperation can make for a much smoother trip.
As I want to expand my horizons and get some more tips on how to make the whole idea of travel easier, better, and less painful, I want to ask you something.
What are your secret travel techniques that can really make a difference?
